tranny tunnel question?

My sons truck previous owner hacked the tunnel all up to install floor shift. I found a good donor piece.I cut the sections so each would overlap in factory seam.question is would it be better to weld it in or bolt it?

Re: tranny tunnel question?

If you make it look nice and structurally strong, I'd say bolt it in. The floor in my '62 is bolted in and made pulling the trans so much easier.
