I ground my own tires with my 4 1/2" grinder and my air die grinder with a buffing pad. They came out pretty good for the first time and it took about 20 minutes a tire, patience is the key don't get in a hurry. I went to the junkyard and got 4 nice hercules for $100. It worked pretty good but I would like to find one of those recap grinding wheels and make my own machine to do it. There is nobody around here who does that.

Bagged with Borris aka way2lo2's kit, 2"spindles,2"blocks. Mild C notch and stock bed stock inner fenders....thanks!

Theres a guy locally in my area that grinds them with a custom machine he made but cant find him anymore. So the other option was I found these radials - Enduro-75 white walls $62.50 I payed yrs ago and very happy with them. When it comes time for new tires I will get the same ones...

Gilbert, Paradise Tire in Modesto has been buffing white walls for a long time here in the central valley, they advertise all over "Craig's list" for $10 bucks a tire.

Junkyard Kelley white letter's that my son-in-law ground down for me at his tire shop on white powder coated stock rims and some early trim rings I had hanging in the junk room.

Nice.....love the white on white combo...........looks killer!!!! And the rims you have are actually 3rd gen truck rims that will clear disk brakes in case you didn't know. Very desirable rims!! I'm using them also on my 63 stepside for a disk brake conversion.

Thanks! Wasn't so sure about the white on white (didn't want the white to wash out). I love it now that it's on the truck. I grabbed them at a garage sale. Got lucky - 4 matching take-offs that had never seen the salt. So clean could have run them with the OEM wheel paint - best part $20 for the set.

We did the 6 lug 1 1/4" disk brakes out front and they work perfectly.

That is a case of someone driving on a flat tire and then airing the tire back up.
