1969 K5 Check list. Please Help.... I'm a ROOKIE.
Alright Guys,
I need some help with a check list for my truck. I took my truck apart completely and had the frame powercoated and and body sand blasted. I have a list of parts I already bought below but what I missing before I put the body back on the chassis. I have: 1. motor & tranny 2. fuel cell 3. suspension 4. bushings 5. rearend 6. fuel lines 7. disc brakes 8. front and bench seat I need: 1. wiring harness 2. sterring 3. driveshaft 4. rims 5. |

1. New body mounts (rubber or poly)
2. New body bolts (most times they are rusted/twisted) 3. Shim plates/washers for body mounts (to help align doors) 4. Door hinge bushing rebuild (while its apart) |

PS: I would add a signature block about your truck. I almost suggested you add a lift ..
PPS: you should also start a build thread. Tell the story of your truck and you plans. Add any pics you have from the beginning till now. It will make it easier for people on here to help if they have some ponit of reference... |

Thank you so much for the advise and feed back. I will be posting pictures soon and the truck is 2 wheel drive so I have plans to lower it to enjoy the Cali Bay Area weather we have. Thank You Again. Erik |

2. Lots of money I thought all '69 were 4x4 and 2wd was not offered till '70? Does your vin # start with 'B' ? |
