4l80e installed pics, help!!!

So I have a 69 c10, I really want to run the Scotts under cab break kit (already purchased) but I am hesitating about revamping my break system. The bracket they have sold me is pretty badass, its gorgeous. The only reason I am hesitating, is because I am planning to go lq9/4l80e. I need a under shot of the 4l80e sitting to see if there is even enough room to run Scotts set up. I need to know how much room is between the trans and the frame rail so if any one could measure i would love it. Also i will have to route my exhaust somehow so its a pretty big deal for that as well.... PLEASE HELP A FUTURE 6.0 C10

Unless some one has already done this and can supply pics that would be a dream come true haha

I'm not 100% positive, but I don't think you will have room. I've included a couple different chassis pictures, and as you can see it would be tight to do that, but I guess anything is possible with enough fab work.

Wow, trans is beefier than I knew. I mean I read how much more they were than the 60s but I had not seen a under shot like this... well maybe ill throw the bracket in my closet and wait to swap and see how it sits. Ill leave it on the fire wall for now and install the rest of the Scotts parts I have...

Re: 4l80e installed pics, help!!!

Ok, it does not seem unrealistic at all. Maybe i could notch the frame out a bit just to create a path for the exhaust to run...

I talked to Justin and he says it won't be a problem, but will be a tight fit. Thats perfectly fine for me.

Here are some of mine. 4L80E with pipes ran 2.5" It's pretty tight on the drivers side for sure. I'm running the B&M shifter cable on mine.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: 4l80e installed pics, help!!!

I know its not the question the OP asked (and not trying to highjack) does anyone have a pic of the height of the oil pan vs the tranny pan? Which one hangs lower?

Depends on which oil pan you are running. The truck pan hungs lower. The Fbody pan is about level.

Re: 4l80e installed pics, help!!!

Here's mine with a deep B&M pan on the 80e, and an F-body pan.

Truck pans are bad, mmmmmkay? Busted mine open twice on my bagged C-10, lol.
