Compatible bench seats
I need a bench seat for a 75 gmc c25. Can anyone suggest some good late model trucks that would be good candidates for a junkyard pick? I am looking for something that will bolt in with little or no modification. Thanks!

Re: Compatible bench seats
Lots of people put in 88-94? Bench seats. More comfortable and allows for more leg room.

Re: Compatible bench seats
I have a mid 90's ford bench in mine and its really comfortable. You have to drill new holes but the stock mounts on the seat work and it has lumbar an a fold down arm rest!

Re: Compatible bench seats
When you say you can use the stock mounts, do you mean the mounts from the square body or the 88-94 truck?

Re: Compatible bench seats
The mounts fixed to the base of the ford seat fit the contours of the Chevy floor, it's not a perfect match but its damn close

Re: Compatible bench seats
I will be mounting the old bench seat from my 2000 Ford F250 in mine very soon. From my measurements the bolt pattern on the bottom of the seat appears to only be 3/4" or so off at the most, so simply slotting the holes on the seat frame 3/8" each should do the trick and be an almost direct bolt in.
Here is the seat with the new cover installed, and the "help" being lazy as usual. IMG_20130612_232218_947 by wrfalcon75, on Flickr I'll update once I actually put it in to be sure, hopefully in the next few weeks. Also, I have heard that second row Honda Odyssey mini van seats are a nice swap, many of them are 40/20/40- two buckets with a flip down seat/console that are easy to fab up to fit. There are several on this site using them.
