Introduction and a question

Hey y'all, I recently acquired an older gmc truck. I don't really know the year, but the vin tag has 11 digits and no decoder can help me. I will post a pic a little bit later. Thank you.

Here's a website that explains the evolution of GM VIN codes. I can't read yours because it's a bit out of focus, but this may give you what you're looking for.

Re: Introduction and a question

Here's the VIN decoder I always use for GMC's. If you're going to restore your truck you might want to join the Jolly website as well. But they only like stockers, no engine swaps.

And welcome to the forum! Post more pictures when you can, everybody here loves pictures. Also, what are your plans?

Well plans for now are to get some body work done. And slap some flat black on it and drive the 305 v6 for a little while. Eventually when I have the funds I will swap a 6.0L LS motor in it, bags, power brakes, and eventually do wheelies with it
