1977 Bonanza 20

Got a few pics of the 1977 Bonanza 20 we have at the farm. This thing has been sitting probably a year now in this shed. Just has a trans leak and dead battery. Poor thing. Hopefully this year one of us will drag it out and fix it, probably before hay season starts. It has a 350, auto, and 4WD.

Re: 1977 Bonanza 20

Been working on it some. Should be getting a new trans/transfer case seal this week so no more trans leak. After that a good tune up and it will be a good daily driver which is what I plan to use it for a little bit this winter. Also we installed a gooseneck hitch in it and wired it up for trailer lights.

Nice! What size tires are you running? Any rubbing issues? I love the stance.

Re: 1977 Bonanza 20

Sorry I ran out of daylight today for photos, had truck issues. It is stock ride height from the factory with 285/75-16 tires on stock wheels. No issues at all with it. We had the tires and wheels on our 1978 Scottsdale K20 but swapped them over because we stopped using it and started using this one. These tires fit the other truck really good as well. Here's a couple photos of it, the smaller tires are 265/85-16 and were originally on this truck.

The things I wouldn't give to have that truck, wow. Nothing beats a stock height k20-30 with a a tall skinny tire.

Re: 1977 Bonanza 20

Finally got some photos. Put a tool box on it today. Oh and I found out it has a 400 small block, not a 350. Also got a pic of the cargo/dome light combo which I believe was only offered in 1977.

How does that dome light function? I have never seen one of those.

Re: 1977 Bonanza 20

If you are not restoring it, I´m still missing a 77 passenger side upper bed side molding/trim. You you don´t need it, I´d be more than happy to take it.

I finally decided to paint my truck the exact colors like your 77. Only with a dark brown interior.

I´d say this one is worth a frame off resto though!

Really like this truck. Always a Bonanza fan, because I was always a Highlander fan! This would be a nice resto. Glad you're reviving it and putting it to use, know you're having fun. Nice to bring em back from the semi-dead.

Nothing new. I did throw a battery in her the other day and fired her up. Running a bit rough, carb probably needs rebuilt.
