injector cleaning surprise

I'm in the middle of my 5.3 swap, and wanted to make sure my injectors wouldn't give any issues. I took them to a local guy that flow tests them, sonic cleans them and replaces the filters and orings. I'm glad I did, because one of them was plugged up solid. Besides that, the first flow test showed they varied up to 10cc's. After he cleaned them and changed the filters they were all within 0.5cc's. If anybody else needs theirs done you can email him at knewrc2@yahoo.com. He only charges $100 per set. Tell him Clint sent you.

Clint what year engine are you using, and what was the highest flow reading on your injectors?

Re: injector cleaning surprise

I think my injectors are 2002 truck injectors. I'll have to look through my paperwork to get the max flow

Re: injector cleaning surprise

I talked to Rick a little bit ago. He said max flow rating is kindof a moot point. Since it will change with pressure, and viscosity of the liquid. Whats more important is that they're even.
