1970 C20 Cab
Just finished 2 year 72 half ton Burb resto. Love the Burb. Built a 350 with a new GM shortblock, Edelbrock E-Tec heads, HEI, serpentine, aluminum radiator, TH700, 3rd bench seat, the list goes on and on... I also have a 1970 C20 truck with new suspension, brakes, a new GM crate motor and rebuilt th400 in it sitting idly in the driveway waiting for me to connect tranny driveshaft and linkage. The bad news is that the entire bottom of truck cab is nearly rusted out. I am looking for advice. I am mechanically inclined but body work is not my forte. I do not want to spend a lot of money on this because this truck is what I call my "beater truck". I use it to haul stuff around, run errands, loan out to others, etc... Any ideas out there? Any cabs sitting in someone's back yard? Anyone who does this kind of work in the Phoenix area who can give me an idea of what rebuilding the bottom of the cab may cost?
