Wheel / Tire Size issue
Hey Folks.. I believe I may have made a mistake. I have a 64 LWB Stepper and I have purchased a set of wheel vintiques smoothies 16x10 for the rear. Problem is.. I can't find a tire to fit these that isn't an Off Road tire or a drag radial.. Looking for the radial T/A look but can't seem to find anything. Anyone got any ideas??

I SAY ALL THIS NOT KNOWING YOUR SUSPENSION SETUP, CLEARANCES, BACK SPACING, ETC. 16x10 is a STRETCH for a 255/50R16 and way BEYOND the recm'd rim width but might work... any they do make it in a sport comp package (BFG) otherwise.... P315/40R16 hoosier track tire (wet/dry) or Kumho Victoracer V700 Tires 265 /45R16 16x10 is just a wierd duck as the 15x10 or 17 & 18"x10 rim selections are plentiful...

Re: Wheel / Tire Size issue
If you know the width and tire diameter you want you can do google search for a tire calculator and try to figure it out from there I think they have a good one on the discount tire sight. that is what I had to do for my 17X9's. I have 275's in the rear of my step side with a 5 inch drop and they fit but it is a bit snug.

Re: Wheel / Tire Size issue
You'd be surprised how much tire can fit. I have a 325/50/15 jammed back in there.
Trying to find the "perfect" tire for a 16" can end up being a pain, as the 16" sizes have been largely taken over by the Subaru/Audi markets, meaning that the types and load ratings of the tires limit what you can use. You'll notice TONS of all-seaons and winter tires in that size, often very narrow. If you haven't yet, consider Summit, even for tires. They blew everyone else out of the water on my drag radials, and even still offer the weird 235/60/15 thats impossible to find.

Re: Wheel / Tire Size issue
Drop down to a 15 or up to a 17 and you'll have more choices that you'll know what to do with.
