Bought my truck in May 1995, and used it for everyday transportation 'till May 2000, at which time I decided it was time to Sh!t or get off the pot (read that as: sell for parts or do a full resto.). Cab had holes in floor and frame had bad case of surface cancer. This thing eats up so much of my free time, but I really enjoy the he!! out of it. Can't wait till she's done.

Got my 69 stepside SWB in 95. Neighbor gave it to my son
for mowing their yard one summer. (Guy hated yardwork) Cab was rusted out. I put on a 67 cab I found from one that had been hit by a train, upgraded to 350, started painting it painter quit. am now in the process of changing bed to 92 sportside from my son's totaled Z71. Debating on selling my old bed. Its in good shape and I've purchased all the hardware to restore from LMC.

I bought mine in '85 in Cypress, Tx. Brought it to Ohio in '86 and watched it rust on me as I drove it all year long. Decided to restore it in '93. Haven't driven it since then. Rebuilding as I get the money and time. Doesn't cost anything to sit in the garage. It won't be long now. (I hope).

My 68 C10 was my grandads who bought it new. My dad got it in 84 and I got it in 2002. When I was a tike @ 72-73 I use to drive it on the farm to knock down his corn in the corn fields with it. What a blast!

71chevylongbed: My dad had one identical to yours in '74 'cept it had a camper shell on it. I have a plastic model of it now. Wish I had the real truck though.
