Question Flip Kit?

How does a flip kit work? If you place the axle above the springs then what do you do about the spring mountplate thats welded onto the axletube? I see kits with just blocks and U bolts... How do you install these correctly?

Or better yet, does anyone know of an install website with pictures for this kind of stuff?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Take a look at www.djmsuspension.com There you can look at the installation instructions for a 73-87 truck. I'm just not sure if I will have to remove the bed or do any welding. I also noticed that they are selling them for about $130 which is a good price considering ECE wants $350 for drop leafs. Good Luck!! Maybe we can work thru this together. What year truck are you working on anyway?

Thanks for the link! That helped. Apparently, I have not been looking at complete kits. The DJM included parts similar to what I thought I would need to do a "flip"...

I'm working on a 83 C15.
