Spare Tire Cutout
Everyone it seems, wants to swap out their fender for one without the spare tire cutout, including me. Prices for a regular fender are ridiculous. I'm just wondering if anyone is making a patch panel to eliminate this cutout on the fender, therefore allowing us to convert our existing fender to regular fender.

I think if your intention is to fabricate something I'd start with a trailer fender flipped upside down. The brackets wouldn't be that hard to fabricate, but to answer your question.....I do not know of anyone reproducing any parts other than the fenders them selves and like WhippinSaw said....you could probably buy an OEM fender for less than a new repop. I see them quite often in the $200-$400 range with carriers.

You probably can sell your old one to recoup your losses, I got one one the parts section of this forum for 300 including shipping, the 55-59 fenders are a 1/2" narrower than the 60-66 at least for the longbed.

Like said..it would be a ton easier to find a good used one..and your in luck...the 60-66 non-cut out fenders are an easy find.

dunno if it works for our trucks, but the 67-72 dudes would remove the cut out metal, flip it around and weld/patch it back in. At least thats what one of 'em told me one time at lunch...
