1964 stepside c10 230 inline six
First off, hello to anyone that reads this, and thank you in advance. My adventure in truckworld started a month ago after rescuing and partly fixing this wonderful old truck. It is still burning off old varnish but is better than it was. It has a noisy manifold and or exhaust leak maybe more. I'm underaverage as a mechanic, and will not do this part. How much can I expect to pay for a new exhaust, (manifold, and or seals in the area where the pipes hook to the block)?
I think this is where the noise is from. |

You can't buy repro stock intakes but you can buy repro exhaust manifolds from LMC, or Truck and Car shop. Napa sells the intake/exhaust manifold gasket...probably would be a good idea to purchase one..and also make sure your stud bolts for the manifolds are nice an snug.

If the exhaust manifold is leaking at the head, I would take it off, take it to a machine shop, and have it fly-cut so the face is flat.
In my opinion, a re-surfaced stock manifold is better quality than a replacement one. If the manifold is cracked elsewhere, I'd consider having a good cast iron welder fix it.
