White Wall Tire Suggestions

Question for you all...we have BF Goodrich White Wall Radial tires on the burb now and have only put about 100 miles on them. We noticed that 3 of the 4 tires are starting to bubble around the edge of the white wall near the wheel. This combo was sold to work together and Coker will replace them for us. My question is first have any of you ever seen anything like this happen, and what causes it and second if we don't want to do BF Goodrich again would you go with American Classic or Coker Classics? Thanks in advance for the always helpful advice!

Re: White Wall Tire Suggestions

If you bought them from Coker, they are not made by BFG. Coker uses licensed molds from BFG and make their own tire. Every tire Coker sells, is made in house. I have been researching white walls and unfortunately I have been reading a ton about problems with Coker radials. I guess their bias ply tires have been good but the radials have had issues like you have or belt separation causing an out of round problem.

It seems the ones that have been getting good reviews, with minimal problems have been Diamondback radial white walls. I am about 99% those are who I am buying my whites from. I just don't want to take a chance with Coker.

Good luck.

Re: White Wall Tire Suggestions

A buddy of mine had these on his car and they bubbled as well. He had to have them replaced. He had to ship them back before they would send him new ones. Pain in the ass
