So much clearance I had to put the lid on that filter. Lots of the time, you can leave it open and seal it to the hood. In my case, thats another 5". Pretty much anything fits under the hood, unless you've got alike a 6-71

you can run a pretty high intake setup with a square, this is what i came up with for my 80. the intake pipe curves around the alternator and is the same height as the truck intake.
