Curb Weight

Anyone know off hand how much their 1991 R3500 (2wdr crew cab) weighs with gas and passenger?

Mine has a gvw of 9000 lbs, and I'm trying to figure what I can tow with it. It has a 350 and 4L80e.

Re: Curb Weight

Here is the generic info packet from the GM Heritage center archives. It contains trailering info (including the R3500) starting on around page 112 of the pdf doc.

You'll need to know your rear axle ratio in addition to truck series and engine type.

Re: Curb Weight

I noticed all the trucks on there are C/K series and not R/V series. Keith, do you think the C/K3500 is comparable? I've always been curious about my V3500's rating as well...

No, the '91 C/K series would be the GMT400 version and (likely) would be different.

Scan through the document again; the R/V trucks are shown in there (you can see them represented in some of the line drawings/sketches).

Re: Curb Weight

I looked through again, and for those searching for square body info, pages 57-64 have some camper loading info and dimensions, and page 117 has GCWR by engine and rear end ratio.

Re: Curb Weight

So I finally got to the scale at work and it comes in at 5808 lbs with me, a canopy, and one side full of gas, that's with a 350 and 4l80e.
