Bumper swap
I have a new body 07 with the black bumper on it that is in pretty rough shape. I want to change it out for a "new" to me bumper. My father in law bought a 14 and pulled the bumper for a custom built one for the farm. I got the bumper from him tonight but wont get the chance to see if it will bolt up for a couple weeks. My biggest question for this is if anyone has tried it and if it will work? The old black bumpers appear from the front to be 4 pcs, but after looking on the underside im fairly confident they are one piece with removable parts. The shape between the two look similar and I am thinking it will be fine. Any advice would be appreciated. The two pictures are from google and are not my trucks, just for reference.

Re: Bumper swap
Well if anyone is wondering, it doesnt work. I was able to swap the bumper brackets over and bolt it up, but it just doesnt fit the body correctly. You would have to trim the grill or bumper, and then do something to tighten up a rather large gap the different shaped bumper lives. Plus for me, they are way too big, especially on a 4x4.

Re: Bumper swap
Looks as if a trip to LMC is on the books. NOTE: they are open on Sundays.
