Wheel Color Opinions Please
So i am trying to get the truck ready for the rod run and i decided to undertake painting the wheels to match my truck. Problem is they don't match the bed or the cab/hood (different bed then it came with). Are these close enough to run without looking like poop or should i go with another color? I am going to run the hub caps pictured and was planning on going white with body colored letters. Opinions here?
Keep them and say the heck with it? Flat white? Maybe a flat Orange?

Can't quite tell in the pictures; are they painted white, or are they dirty aluminum? If they aren't painted I'd polish them up. White with the red letters like the OE hubcaps always looks nice, too.

If the caps are going to be white, go body color or black, check out the 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics thread to get some ideas. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ghlight=wheels
Post some pics there when your done. Something like this would also look good

Yeah, I really like the black wheels and chrome/aluminum trim rings/caps. Very nice. The whitewall tires don't even really bother me with that setup.

Re: Wheel Color Opinions Please
I"m still trying to figure out what color the body is supposed to be. Did I read correctly that you were going with an all-white body?
On an all white truck, if you went with those blue wheels, and did the bed lettering and accents in the same matching blue, it would be a good look. On the truck the way I see it in those pictures however, I don't think they look good.

Oh, now I get it... I think? Are you asking about wheel color, or hubcap color, or both? If it's wheel color, semi-flat black all the way IMO if you repaint them. I don't think they'd look bad like they are, though.

Re: Wheel Color Opinions Please
I was asking about wheel and cap color. I wants go body color but the color I ended up spraying them came out brighter. I decided to go ahead and run them anyway with white caps and blue lettering. The only issue is that I only have 2 66 gmc caps so I bought plain Jane dog dish caps of off a safari van era. The truck is blue with a white top btw.

Re: Wheel Color Opinions Please
If you still decide to change the cap color, possibly a medium silver, like a charcoal (with a satin/matte clearcoat) would look nice with the white caps.
Paint the GMC lettering in red
