column issues

looks like I have a column switch issue...wondering if anybody knows what columns will fit into a 66 3/4ton with no problems/minimal work

the signal switch in the column all wires are spliced and its just a mess that I think a new start on it would be better than redoing someones mess...i've heard 70's or 80's van columns will work but the shaft is a tad bigger? but the wiring harness will plug right in and

why not just change the turn signal harness and the harness down to the main harness, bet its easier then a complete swap. i keep it oem cuz murphys law runs my life...post some pics, maybe forum members can find an easier solution

its a weird mishmash of parts and a complete rats nest at this point...plus its dark out by now so i'll get some for yall tomorrow and see what I can do. would you mind explaining a little more on what you mean by changing it to the main harness?

the turn signal setup has its harness that connect to the rest of the main harness. if you have a spare harness you can just swap wiring, and replace the turn signal part with a new setup round $60 with the upper shaft bearing...

or do you have a different type of turn signal thats not in the column? kinda like attached with a clamp.
