Bagging a 62

Anyone used the factory X frame of a 60-62 to bag their truck? I've seen back halves and 4 link setups but no factory bridge notches using the trailing arms or the like with the X frame.

We're using a 73-87 front coil suspension so that's cake, rear is a little tricky.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Bagging a 62

I pipe notched mine. Porter built trailing arms to center wheels and Panhard bar kit. Relocated shocks. All down just kiss top of axle.

Re: Bagging a 62

There's a guy here that did the fronts.
He cut the torsion bars off at the lower arms.
He then welded a steel plate to the bottom of the lower arm to mount the bag to.

now we're talking. laying frame is a must for me and this is a step in the right direction!

any more pics of it laid out to see how low it gets. my friend is doing the fab work and just finished a 64 and cross member is pancaked. the frame below the cab is the lowest point. that's what i need...
