electric to mechanical window swap

searched the site but didn't get any results. Is it easier to just swap doors than to get rid of the non working electric windows in my 87 Burb? will p/u doors bolt on? Slow/nonworking windows seem to be a common problem with the 80's Suburbans.

Re: electric to mechanical window swap

you should be able to swap doors from the same series truck or even blazer. It would be a great deal easier than swapping the internals and finding a new door panel for the manuals

No need to swap th ewhole door. Just swap out the regulators out, and you should be good to go. If you are feeling frisky, you can completely pull the wiring and all, but it isn't necessary.

What Jonboy said. Same same
Bolt in exactly the same spot. Only thing going from power to manual is door panel holes won't work. Power switch is huge compared to manual hole esp on Suburban with their gang 4 switch for windows.

It is easier to swap an entire door than to swap the regulators and door panels. 8 exposed bolts to remove the door and you will need to pull the panel on the electric door to unplug the electrical. You will also need to cap off the hole on the body the electrical cable run through or you will get water in the cab when it rains.
