17" Steel Wheels?

Is anyone running 17" Steel wheels?

I really want to keep the 'stock' look of my truck but also want the stopping power provided by the big brake kits.

Apart from Wheel Vintiques series 62 is there another manufacturer that makes a stock wheel in the bigger size?

Would be interested to hear from others and. obviously, pictures!

Coker has a smoothie 17x7, 17x8 & 17x9.
Available in 5x5" or 6x5.5" lug pattern.
They also have some 18" steel wheels.

Was looking more for a stock style wheel than a smoothie, all part of the sleeper image....

Looms like I will be forking out for the wheel vintinques then!!

Oh look at all the pretty wheels.....

Seems to be a fault with the US Mags site but from what I did see I really like their Salt Flat look alike.

Problem is my budget wont stretch to them... Sausages...

Not a big fan of the smoothie look, can appreciate the style on certain vehicles but in my view looks a bit 'wrong' on a truck.

Circle Racing Wheels is making an 17-20" version of the stock wheels. It's their 108 series. Has the four slots and nubs for C10 caps, 10 1/8". They're around $2200 for 18's. I'm going to use 14.5" CTS-V brakes and they said that it would be close but they'd probably fit since it's a spun rim instead of cast.

anybody use or know of these? they are 17" steels for a Chevy traverse...

I like he look but haven't found / figured out the bolt pattern

i believe thats a smaller bolt pattern, been looking awhile for 16 inch or bigger steel wheels for mine.have you seen fj cruiser steel wheels?very similar to those

just Googled those FJ wheels.. those are perfect! 6x5.5... that's the stock bolt pattern for the '65 correct?

yea same bolt pattern ,couple of guys run them on here, use search function on here for pics, only im not sure about backspacing one guy said they bolt up no problem ,other says needs spacers

Thanks! 68 series. 4.5" front / 5" rear backspacing. 5 1/2" drop in front (3" springs and 2 1/2" drop spindle. 4" drop springs in rear.

I'm going for 17" 8/9 stagger aluminum wheels from Year One. Right at a Grand with caps and lugs. Mimic the rally wheels, all the less weight. I also looked at the steels wheels, but this solution has more advantages.

I'm pretty sure full size spares from a mid 2000s Toyota Sequoia have the vintage steel wheel look and are 17s. I'll see if I can take the one from my wife's Sequoia and test fit it to my 61.

Paul, what about looking around in the UK at options like Transit or other 3 ton type wheels?

Also, ask on Retro Rides or go look on Wheel whores.com there are some knowlegeable people out there.

One other option could be welding up existing holes and getting new ones, or is that too risky?

Last idea would be if you knew where wheels were made, to have a set of steels punched with the holes the way you needed them, I remember years ago when I was involved in offroad racing in South Africa, we used to get Mercedes Benz wheels dome in different stud patterns.
