Best way to clean this up

Since I'm having to swap cabs I'm going to go ahead and clean the frame up. Which is the best way to clean the frame up before spraying it with some chassis black

I used a wire wheel and one of those coarse sanding wheel things

Hot water pressure wash up close and personal.

Any need for the rust converter stuff?

Use por 15 with a scrub brush or a steam cleaner first. Then wire wheel all the rust off. Por 15 makes a metal ready you can use before painting.

This is the pad I think Old Rusty was talking about. I used these on mine and worked very well. Hard to get into tight spots, but that is where the wire wheel will come into play.

^^ stripping discs work good. Some leave this plastic like crap stuck to the metal that you want to remove prior to painting

pressure sprayer at the local car wash to remove the big stuff. then muriatic acid sprayed through a bug sprayer to remove rust from the bare metal. google it first, its nasty stuff and smells terrible, then use your por 15 over it

Yeah that acid is tough that's what I you to clean the shop floors before I paint them

Wire wheel always works for me.

Easgwood Company Fast Etch. Crazy how good it works. If it's really bad, pressure wash the heavy flakes off first, then Fast Etch.
