Bedside Rear Lower Quarters

I've looked but can only find the front lower quarters for my blazers bedsides. I need a lower rear panel for behind the passenger side rear tire. Does anyone know if the suburban panels (which are available) can be cut down to fit? Any one know of an easier option? Thanks.

Re: Bedside Rear Lower Quarters

Short bed would be a better bet, hell long bed would be a better bet, the Suburbans may or may not work, the rends of the quarters are very different. The Blazer is really a shortened shortbed with the cab and bed merged. Look at a pic of a Suburban it's nothing like a Fleetside or a Blazer, taillights *over* square backup lights, rear of quarters slanted forward at the top, tailgate narrower, window channel at the top of the quarter, it's a pretty different beast.

Re: Bedside Rear Lower Quarters

I have a pair of short bed bed sides that I will be posting in the for sale section hopefully today. Only one side has a really nice rear. The other has been dented but someone tried to straighten. And you are only a 1.5 hrs from me.

Re: Bedside Rear Lower Quarters

I agree with skorpioskorpio, your best bet would be finding a good pair of quarters off a fleetside short bed. I'm currently replacing the same areas on my jimmy as well. I only really needed a small area right behind the rear tire. The tail light areas were solid. I initailly order repop patches for a fleetside short bed but I did not like how the wheel openings where stamped. They did not match up at all! So, I put acouple of ads out looking for patch panels and was very happy I did. Two board members were able to helped me out with patches...They worked out great!!

1972 Jimmy, were the patch panels you ended up using the same wheel arch contour as the fleetside SB? I only need the arch and back a few inches. Everything else is solid. Thanks to all for the replies.

Yes, they were the same contour. See my ad http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=642638 and you can see what I was looking for.
I can post some pics tonight to show you how the patchs look after being installed.

sorry for not posting pictures sooner. As you can see the arches match up perfectly!
