What radiator are you guys running?

I'm putting a carb'd 4.8 in my 71 gmc (6 banger, auto) and was wondering what direct-fit radiator you guys might be using during your swaps.

I've looked at Be Cool, etc. but just wanted to get an idea of what;s working for you. I'm sticking with a th350 or 700r4 tranny by the way.

Stock one will work fine. No need to swap it out unless you like spending $ or yours has issues.

Re: What radiator are you guys running?

Just make sure your system holds pressure, I read on here that if it don't your water pump will leak, mine did after using my stock old raditor

Re: What radiator are you guys running?

I just used a regular 'ol Be-Cool sbc radiator, seems to work great since I don't have a/c, and my trans cooling has its own seperate radiator.

I've got a 4-core I pulled out of a BB truck I'm planning on using. Also going to be running an electric fan.

Re: What radiator are you guys running?

I'm running the same 4 core that has been in it since my old man put it in when he was overheating while pulling a horse trailer with the original straight six. My 5.3L ALWAYS runs cool, and I'm still running stock clutch fan.

Re: What radiator are you guys running?

griffin for an ls-swapped '69 camaro.
had to tape a 16x16 chunk of coroplast to it today.
it's been ~30 degrees and the truck took 30 mins to get into closed loop
