CUCV Rifle Rack

Hi all.

Anybody here seen or own(ed) a CUCV with its OEM rifle racks in them?

Here's an example: http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/sm...6541#msg246541

I'm guessing given the era they were built in that they are for M16s and such. But how do they work exactly? Looks like the rifle/shotgun is held vertically, but by the looks of it the seat would smash the weapon or your head would be pressing against it.

Anybody have any experience with these?

PS: I was thinking of posting this Thread in the 67-72 section too because it gets a lot of traffic.

Thank you.

Re: CUCV Rifle Rack

There is a rectangle bracket on the floor below the top holder. The but of the M16 will sit in that, the top lock 'T' handle will swing and twist over the forward hand guards just below the front weapon site. You can also download a tech manual
