Be Cool Radiators

Has anyone put a be cool direct fit radiators into a 60-62 Chevy? It says it is for a 62 but it doesn't look like it at all.

Also I have seen a lot of people using champion radiators. Are the people that have installed them happy?

Re: Be Cool Radiators

I ran a champion 3 row in my old truck which had a mild 455 olds in it, before it would run at 220 pulling a grade with no load after I put the champion in there I never saw it go over 180, i ran a 60-62 radiator in a 66 because i wanted to bolt it in, not have it wedged in place i had to cut my crossmember to drop it down otherwise it would have bolted right in to the shroud holes. If I could go back I would get the 2 row because on a cold day with the heater on it would sometimes run at 150 or lower. I was on the site recently and that radiator did look strange but unless they changed the design it should fit. Also if you are looking for a 60-61 chevy or gmc hood i have one of each and am willing to give them away message me if interested.

Re: Be Cool Radiators

I have a Champion cooling my BB. it gets to 220 in traffic but I am not running a shroud yet. Other then that it will run 190 to 210. It fit right in because my truck was orginally a V8 truck.

Re: Be Cool Radiators

I have a champion\American Eagle. It cools my LSx very well and they have lifetime warranty. they are not customizable, they come like they come.

Knowing that and if I had to do it all over again, I would buy one of from these guys..

These guys are board supporting vendors, american made and you can get them just about anyway you could imagine.

Check them out!

Talking Re: Be Cool Radiators

In one of Sparky's last posts, he said that he's working on a crossflow prototype. That would be really cool, figuratively speaking.
