I took the body off my 82 and 83, and swapped them around. Junked what was left of the 83 and built a nice 82 C20. I owned that truck for over 10 years. Lot's of memories....

77 GMC 3+3 crew cab 454 with 396 heads. Used for hauling parts and cars. Sold
77 Chevy short bed step side project. Sold
77 Chevy short bed fleet side custom project got it for upgraded parts. Still have.
78 GMC short bed fleet side. Purchased a week ago and this will get suspension and other upgrades from the 77.

I'll start with my dad's friend: 1976 C10 swb stepside , mariner blue, bought new, he still owns it.

My dad bought new a 1979 K10 swb, sold it a few years later

Uncle had a 1975 C10 longbed for his construction business, moss gold, sold it in early 80's

Other Uncle had a 77 longbed, brown, don't know when he got rid of that one

Family friend bought a 84 C10 Silverado, longbed new. I knew of the truck up to 2001, my brother had it and offered to me for free but I had to turn down. I loved that truck too. Two tone blue.

Now on to mine, the above trucks started it all for me.
74 C10 Custom, swb....totaled, not my fault
87 R10 Custom Deluxe, swb.....sold, too much rust
78 C10 Silverado, swb......recently sold

I've only owned three, eventually will have number 4 when the time is right

Only one 1982 custom, I bought it 25 years ago did a 87 conversion . TBI motor , front grill , Silverado interior ,power windows and locks. Worked out of it until 3 years ago. (now )Total frame off resto. ls2 conversion . All computer controlled , 381rwhp .

Never considered selling it . It a blast to drive.

I agree that the square body trucks are addicting. I stop myself all the time from getting on craigslist and buying another one. Haha.

I got my first square body at the age of 15. 16 years later and I'm still in love with the style.

A funny thing about my 1987 GMC 3/4 ton was it was basically a dog house , the owner had her dog living in the cab and it had a big hole in the drivers seat where the dog would sleep and it was wretched smelling to the point of nauseating , I had to replace the seat and just sprayed out the interior with Febreze and and left the windows open for months t still wreaked for years after words .

I still have both of mine, a 73 Suburban and a 76 K20. I am debating the sale of the 76 because of smog here. I am trying to get down to owning just 2 vehicles to smog every 2 years and the rest of the fleet being smog free. Seriously considering swapping the 4x4 stuff into my 71 C10 and selling the 76.
