What emblem do I need?

I've been slowly fixing up my 87 SWB and I decided to put a pair of emblems on the fenders. Since I've owned it it's never had any emblems on it. It has the holes for the emblems but I don't know the correct one. The holes are 8 inches apart. Any help would be appreciated. Might go junkyarding after Christmas and I'd like to know what I'm looking for.

Re: What emblem do I need?

It depends on your model and year - Scottsdale, Silverado, C10, C20 etc. Personally, I removed all emblems and am having the mounting holes welded shut and ground off.

Re: What emblem do I need?

If it's a base model truck with manual windows/locks then you're most likely looking for a Custom Deluxe 10 emblem. Does it still have the emblem on the dash trim?

The fender emblems will look like this:

Re: What emblem do I need?

Well done, you two.

I agree, except it might be a Scottsdale since it has the chrome trim around the taillamps (Custom Deluxe did not get that chrome trim).

Base = Custom Deluxe
Z62 = Scottsdale (normally base grille and black side trim; could be had with uplevel grill by adding RPO V22 and chrome side trim with B85).
YE9 = Silverado.

Personally, I removed my emblems, too, and filled the holes. I never liked them even when new.

Re: What emblem do I need?

I do plan on getting a roll of the chrome molding and putting it on. My buddy just did this truck to flip and I really liked it.

Re: What emblem do I need?

Anyone know if the early, above the belt line script style emblems also are 8" hole to hole? I don't particularly care for the blocky style emblems, kinda dig the 70's script ones.

I am removing the side trim also, and your truck is already there.
