Sheet Metal Sources

OK so my bodyman is coming over to pickup my 70 Jimmy today and wanted to get some input on sources of sheet metal….

I am going to need the whole shooting match

Rockers, torq boxes, compete cab floor and rear floor, and anything else…

Ive seen where people are ordering SWB floors and cutting off some to replace the rear floor - is this still the best way?

Big swap meet coming up in Denver CO in a couple weeks so hoping to pickup there and save on freight costs….

Might sound like a POS but the rest of the Jimmy is solid and my target is a pitna finish on the outside but not a Fred Flintstone on the inside…

Will be converting from 4x4 to 2wd etc etc - its only time and money right?

I just came across this one today, but the headliner portion (most likely others as well) needs additional modifications and welding

This is probably best suited in the main Blazer/Jimmy message board and not the build sub-forum...you'd probably get more input. Perhaps a moderator could move it?

Multiple vendors on this site can get you covered with this...GMCPaul's and Wes at Classic Heartbeat come to mind. Due to my geography, I used South Kentucky Classics for my Blazer bed sides. Shipping might be a factor on some pieces, so local is an option. I used AMD on some pieces because I have one an hour up the road. YearOne's main facility is even closer so I picked up a few things from them. Any decent fabricator can make most repair panels work...but it's still hard to recommend reproduction panels. Clearly I had to use nearly every repair panel they make...so I got to spread it around a bit. I think it's to the point now where you won't have to use any truck specific stuff.
