I forget
Did they make a 12 bolt pumkin cover with a drain hole /inspection plug?
I would like to do some welding on my axle and thought I should either open the hole up or at least check and see how much grease I have in there when done heating up the axle..

Re: I forget
My 70 12 bolt doesn't have a plug in the cover, its in the housing itself on the front passenger side of the punkin.

Re: I forget
I never seen one for these moldes but the aftermarket may have made them.
A quick Google search pulled up several. And yes check your level after welding on it!

Re: I forget
You can buy the transmission plug kits at NAPA and put plug in it!
You will have to take the pan off to do it though but not afterwards. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tc...aLVBoCTPPw_wcB http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rn...noyRoCcS_w_wcB
