Is precision restoration parts still in business?

I need to get some windshield lock strip

http://precisionrestorationparts.com...-suburban.html

I watched a youtube vid by them installing a windshield and lock strip on a 73 and up chevy truck

I had a plastic chrome strip. Im thinking about going with just black replacement.

Do the new plastic chrome strips last or do they age fast and look terrible like my old one with in a few years?

Re: Is precision restoration parts still in business?

I got a kit from Classic Truck Parts. It came with the chrome molding and metal clip and was very reasonable, like around $20.00. I already had the tool I stayed with the chrome because mine is original with it. Also I prefer the chrome strip because it breaks up that massive windshield rubber. I doubt it lasts any longer than the originals it looks and feels the same.

Re: Is precision restoration parts still in business?

I goggled Classic Truck Parts and found their slip lock molding. I see they dont provide a phone number or where they are located

I was looking at Truck Shop's catalog and online, they are in Orange Ca. Not sure of the quality of what they sell

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.
