Neighbors 5.3 2002 Tahoe just died.... what's worth keeping

Neighbors 2002 Tahoe just died on him. 5.3 with 230k miles on it. Pretty sure he ran it low on oil and the rest is history. Mechanic said only two quarts in it when he drained it, and it was metallic. I think it was knocking as well. So assuming that the bottom end is toast, what is worth salvaging engine-wise before he takes it to the scrap yard?

I would pull complete motor and trans, drive shaft with rear axle. Computer and harness. All the front motor brackets and acc. All the a/c lines and evap and condenser. Radiator and fans. The brake booster and master(especially if it hydro boost). Basically anything you can strip, have room to store and could possibly use youreself or sell, trade, or give yo someone that can.

Thanks..that helps. Unlike me...his garage isn't full of stuff and no cars park in it so I think he might have room to hold on to a few parts for a while. Just trying to help him recoup a little money to go toward a new vehicle.
