AD IFS...........options available.....

Lets chat about options. IFS in AD's. Bolt in or weld in. No clips......I am not interested in doing that.

Would prefer Coil Overs with the option of air later on.

I am sure I am missing a couple options........whatcha got??

The top 4 you can't go wrong with. I have used them all except Scott's but I have seen them and they are great. All are quality companies that stand behind what they sell

Re: AD IFS...........options available.....

Coach, I just finished my Fatman stage three, coil over kit. Very nice kit, with no problems. They are very accessable via telephone, if you have questions. The kit is not cheap, about $2800, shipped to Indiana. That included optional sway bar and power rack and pinion. You can see my build thread over at the other forum.

Re: AD IFS...........options available.....

I believe that Scott's IFS is the only one listed that offers the bolt in or weld in options.

Re: AD IFS...........options available.....

I bought a Scott's, weld in or bolt in, they are a nice one piece crossmember that does not require cutting the inner fenders. I didn't even remove my engine or fenders to put put it on.

The Danforth cross member is also a great option if you have access to a good junkyard.

+1 for Fatman. I sent them an email with a question and within an hour I had a reply with pictures. All the parts are quality too. I also liked that they provided a list of what vehicle the different parts came from so you can go to any parts store for spares.

You can't just leave it at that.

Explain the issues you had?

You need to severely notch into the frame for the rear of the upper control arm. Or buy tubular units and still have to do some kind of notch. The steering wasn't completed at the time I did mine, he gives you ideas on what to use. One guy that I know of that actually drove his, had the turning radius of a semi. He also was using a camaro rack & pinion.

This kit has been around for a while and not got any buzz for a reason. Nice idea, very incomplete.

This is why I dumped mine and put it on a dakota chassis. At the time industrial chassis wasn't doing the the dakota thing anymore, they are back at it. One guy in South Dakota has purchased one and ready for the install.

Re: AD IFS...........options available.....

It looks like you did your research pretty well from looking at your original list. The only one I'd add to the original list is The No limit setup. weld in only but they have been around building quality suspension setups for a long time and are very accessible when you have questions . Rob is over on the 67/72 section of the board quite a bit. http://nolimit.net/products#!/Road-G...tegory=6257097 for the coil over setup. They also have a bag setup.

I just checked their site and did not see any for the AD trucks.

Must be real new, I'd like to see more on this one.
