65 C10 with 91 Suburban K member swap

I tried finding a 100% yes or no answer on this, but haven't been able to find what i need. I have some one that has a front end already removed out of a 91 burb, and i was wondering if i could swap it out with my 65 frond suspension. i don't mind drilling a few holes, but i don't want a complete reworking of my front end. He also has a 79 c10 front end as well, but it is still bolted into his junker parts truck. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: 65 C10 with 91 Suburban K member swap

Completely reworking the front end would depend on the condition of the donor crossmembers.
Both will work.
But bolting a wore out 79 or 91 crossmember into your truck is no better than your original 65 crossmember.
Personally I would leave the 65 crossmember and engine stands in place, and use the steering and a-arms from the donor if they are in good condition.

Re: 65 C10 with 91 Suburban K member swap

Ok i just wanted to see if the 91 would bolt up like the 79 would. (with a few holes drilled) The 91 is in alot better shape than the 79. the guy wants to sell the whole member, but if i can get away with just canibalizing the 91 after i get it i might do that. What do i need to make sure i grab other than the a arms, spindles, brakes, and ect?
