suspension set up question
I was stuck behind a expedition for 2 hours in a traffic jam, and I had me a idea.
Well the expedition is a big SUV with a hd IRS set up or at least hd for a 1/2 ton truck. So what of a guy got the whole frame, and placed a classic truck on its frame. I am sure I would have to lengthen the frame for a rcsb wheel base. Would this make a great handling stock height truck compared to a comparable solid axle? I am thinking air ride with a soft "spring" rate, stiffer shocks, and big sway bars. Or even a 4x4 set would be pretty cray cray. |

Re: suspension set up question
Porterbuilt was working on a rear irs on air bags not sure if that was a one off or something he was going to sell.Ona 4x4 irs and ifs both kill ground clearance so it would be a street truck only.

Re: suspension set up question
It would be just a crazy project for racing around the streets more then off road.
I would make the spring rate softer so I get more travel out of the suspension. So it absorbs the bumps kind of like a Raptor does. Just with out the long by comparison travel suspension. |
