Where do the headlight grounds go?

Ok so I FINALLY got this truck on the road and almost got all the small stuff done but I have to put the grill and headlights back in. They were off when I bought the truck and the headlight buckets were unmounted from the grill. But for the life of me I can't find the original spot for the headlight grounds! Anybody have pics they can show me? Thanks!

Re: Where do the headlight grounds go?

I ended up having to run a wire to the battery ground bolt.

Re: Where do the headlight grounds go?

Awesome. I am going to run it into the body right behind the headlight that way I can take the grill off and not have to fool with wires.

Also, where can I get the gears to swap in the rear end? What model do I need? This thing sounds like it's gonna blow up at 60 mph with the 350 turbo trans. Excuse my termanology. I've owned imports for 10 years and I decided to grow up I guess lol.

Will depend on which rear end you have. What year truck? Any pics of the rear diff cover?

Re: Where do the headlight grounds go?

If its still got the original rear diff, it will be a 12 bolt. If you look on the axle tubes you should see some stampings that will lead you to the original gear count. You can always pull the cover and look at the gears themselves as they are stamped also. (chart attached so you can decipher the rear code)

The 12 bolt gears are the same as are the seals, bearings...etc.

The only difference is the 63-early 64 using a 17 spline axle vs the later models using 30 spline.
