Engine ID

Hello, recently picked up a 65 shortbed that had been in storage for a loooong time. The truck is an automatic and was wondering if anyone could help me ID the engine in the truck? Also, do these (with trans) have any value? I cannot use the drivetrain and just planning it's fate... thanks

Re: Engine ID

You will need the stamped numbers on the front of the block on the pass. side also the casting numbers on the rear bell housing area on the drivers side of the block, With these it should be easily identified.

Re: Engine ID

Thanks, I'll take a look when I get back to the shop. The engine/trans will be pulled soon and wasn't sure if they had any value or they should go straight to the scrap bin.
