56 cowl vent delete panel

Someone posted the name of a company that makes the cowl vent without louvers, I have searched as many posts as I can find, and cannot find it. I seem to remember it was $53, name was something like perfect performance or some such. Anyone have a hint?

Re: 56 cowl vent delete panel

Yep. Got mine from a local rod shop - Dynacorn #1106VB. Looking at whether to weld it in or just seal with seam sealer before placing and then again on the inside. I know the windshield rubber holds the top, hence sealer good there. But definitely will need something along sides and where screws at bottom. I will not be using my cowl (vents) since installing AC, and just wasn't feasible to repair all the little holes in the outer cowls, with AC. Jim

Re: 56 cowl vent delete panel

I bought one made of fiberglass from no limits a year or so ago, not happy with its fit will require some tedious grinding the whole length top and bottom to fit . Came up empty Goggling Dynacorn. #1106VB. was only able to find a repop with louvers.

I will be attempting to cut and patch with these 2 threads by Kim57- 265 post , and Clarance J - 101 post also Ogre's build as inspiration :

Just did another search and several popped up

Will try my hand at it , if it turns out to be too much of a pain will go with a new one 60 is not a bad price

"It's all about how you put the it in the search" absolutely

Yes, I found it and edited right after my post yesterday , I usually do search every witch way but loose(watched it last night too) When I search craigslist I will misspell items on purpose also

Went back and found my receipt for the one I got from No limits spent $133 for it in 2013 , was the only one I could find who was making it.
May have to have a garage sale with all the parts I bought and didn't use.

Oh we'll see how my cut and patch works out ,
Total would come to $75 delivered

Good luck with the build Oldcouple

Re: 56 cowl vent delete panel

Thanks I knew I read it somewhere, I no longer have the side vents because I added AC, and used the holes for my speakers, so the louvered vent it just a debris trap for leaves and pine needles. I will have to have my paint guy shoot it to match.
