6.0 swap into a 1979 k10 with a 700r4 and 410 gears

I was wondering would it bolt directly into the transmission? i plan on putting a carburetor intake on it and converting it to carburetor

Yes, GM transmissions bolt up without issue.

Just need to get the harness modified for a non computer controlled transmission.

Just got done putting a NV4500 behind an 6.2.

Yes it will work, but... Why not a 4L60e instead of the 700? It'll shift nicer than rigging a TV cable to the 6.0.

Also... 4.11 is pretty steep, the 6.0 isn't a high revving screamer. You plan on some tall tires?

If you do go 4l60e you will have to change your gauges but you can get a oem set from like a 89 or 90 suburban crewcab or k5.

Had an 02 HD Chevy work truck with 6.0 I abused the hell out of it I would have it loaded so heavy with bucket teeth going to mine it was on the bump stops. Have to shift down rap the thing out doing 75 up I70 out of Denver. Had a 180 thousand when they gave me a new 06 ford worse day my life. Other than a fuel pump at 125,000 o2 sensor at 140,000 oil changes. not a problem.
