Your top could easily be cut down to a short box 63GENIII and cut out to a Panoramic View.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
AWW Norm! It's taken me a while to get the nerve to get rid of it! Ive been wrestling with the idea of narrowing it a little and shortening it a couple of inches (for some reason its a little too long). I finally got tired of it sitting in the from yard and me not having the time to mess with it. Now Im thinking about it again! Lol. I guess I could re sheet it with flat aluminum after all the mods were done. Oh well, if it goes to a good home, it goes. If not, its back on the to do list.

I'll fly in this winter and we'll cut it down together. Nice break for me and a nice piece for you.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
You sure that's the correct rim width and height? Is that 6.5 x 16 measured from outside edges or between the beads? If between, I may be interested.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I have this seat. I'm in Sacramento CA. It's pretty clean considering. Last I looked, there were no tears in it. The rail says "71 Chevy 1/2 Ton" so it may have come from a wrecking yard or something. It was sitting in my '65, but I'm looking for some Silverado seats or something with built in belts. I'm busy and I don't have time to ship things, but feel free to come and get it. Thanks.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Thought I would just mention on here the Paying it Forward ethos is alive and well in the UK.
Met up with Ian Brown at the NSRA Supernationals yesterday. I had some useless bits for Ian, Martin had a spare wheel carrier for Ian, Ian in turn had some gearbox seals for Martin and........ Ian had given me a lower A-Arm to replace mine which has been damaged sometime in the past, already cleaned up and painted. Thanks Ian !! Secondly, Ian had also brought along both of his trucks old front hubs, all neatly wrapped up. Thanks again mate. So again, not a lot of work done, but truck progress

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Putting this out there though I have not had good luck giving stuff away on this forum...
12 bolt rear end, noisy, but works, drum to drum. New-ish brakes and wheel cylinders, will have to be reassembled as I needed the e-brake cables for a late model swap. Pinion seal leaks a little. Track bar mount has been cut after the pic. Obviously no shipping. Come and get it before it goes to scrap... |

If you read the rules in the first page, you'll see that this is a thread for generous members who are willing to give away parts. NOT for non-supporting members asking for free for parts. Last edited by 63 & 64 Bowties; 08-11-2015 at 09:11 PM. |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I don't have any pictures to post at this time, but while I'm thinking about it...I just did a front disc brake swap/lowering job on my 63 C10. I have all 4 factory coil springs along with the stock front spindles that are assembled with decent drum brakes. Very useable if someone has the need. Obviously too heavy to ship, but they are free if someone can use them. I'll haul them off to the scrap metal yard in a week or two.
