Re: How far did you drive your truck today part I.

Maybe 30 miles. A solid 1/8 mile completely sideways with tires squeeling. That was my entry on to the highway. Hit the local cars and coffee then cruised around. Great weather here today.

I put about 150 miles on the bluejay special yesterday/Saturday. Drives nice! I need to recover the seat though.

9 miles to work this morning, probably about 5 miles round trip to lunch, then 9 miles back home this evening.

Re: How far did you drive your truck today part I.

I drive mine about 45 to 50 miles every day to and from work. A few side trips on the way home and that goes up. only thing keeping the miles off this truck is my Ultra classic. If its a nice day I ride my other vehicle with no AC.

About 20 miles. Drove to mom's house to pick tomatoes. Spent half an hour in the driveway as the neighbours came over to check out the truck. Stopped on the way back home to pick up oil and filter.

Re: How far did you drive your truck today part I.

Yesterday I headed out from my home in the San Joaquin valley and crested the summit of the High Sierras to arrive at Donner State Park, the site of the infamous Donner Party tragedy. The pic is of the monument placed there. The pedestal represents the depth of the snow during that horrible winter of 1846/47. The small figure in front of the pedestal is my wife.

If the '62 had good brakes I would've driven it to work today, about 32 miles round trip. Maybe next week...

Re: How far did you drive your truck today part I.

Saturday I put about 300 miles on the mule. Drove over to St Francisville, LA to meet up with a bunch of truck buddies for food and trucks. Then of course the LONG un A/C trip back home that evening.

In the 4 years I have owned it about 50 miles total. In my mind about a million.

Re: How far did you drive your truck today part I.

Had hand surgery two weeks ago, got my truck back from a friend who swapped in a 350 a week ago and finally decided today that I couldn't wait any longer. Put 120 miles on that new motor today with only 1 hand (no power steering and a 4 on the floor!)

Re: How far did you drive your truck today part I.

Got the old girl running for the first time in 7 years and managed to drive it out of the garage to the end of the drive way so about 50 feet. Still no gas tank so the lawn mover gas can will do for now. LOL

Re: How far did you drive your truck today part I.

Put almost 2,000 miles on my 66 since I bought it in the spring. The bad news is the 62 hasn't moved 6 feet under it own power in 10 months.

Probably 50 miles. Drop off the freezer for recycling, pick up a pail of polypropylene glycol, dump the garbage; all things that a truck should do and I have an excuse to drive it.
