XJ steering shaft upgrade in first gen k5 69-72
Has anyone done the XJ steering shaft upgrade or atleast attempted it on a 69-72 truck or blazer. Im about to cut up my original steering shaft and weld the ends onto the XJ u-joint ends. Is this madness?
thanks all |

It's not madness if you have a good plan to align the shafts, and have great welding skills. I've looked for anyone who had done that mod before I attempted anything.
In the end I went with the cpp u-joint to rag joint kit, but I will eventually swap the rag joint for a Borgeson vibration dampening u-joint. |
