Help with Blackhawk sk-64 air jack
I am trying to rebuild a jack that I received after my father passed. It will air up without a load on it but leaks down very quickly. I don't trust it enough to place a load on it. I was able to locate the rebuild kit and now have it.
I attempted to disassemble the jack today without success. I have no idea how to do this. I have scoured the internet and I am unable to find any type of guide. I did find a blowup of the parts but that is it. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Re: Help with Blackhawk sk-64 air jack
there may be no need to rebuild the air jack
as i recall they all leak down fast the holding power is from the lock mechanism check items 13 thru 16, i believe that is your lock mechanism make sure the lock mechanism is working, as that is what holds the car up air jack up and as it comes down on it's own it will catch the lock air up again while pulling the lock up to bring the vehicle down it wouldn't hurt to put some air tool lube in the cylinder as the seals may be dry

Re: Help with Blackhawk sk-64 air jack
I've used this particular jack years ago and it leaked some but this is excessive. It did not have the lifting power. I was able to change the main seal today and it seems improved. I spent all day messing with it and had to go before testing it under a load.
I was able to get it apart by taking the safety mechanism off and lifting the top off with a chain hoist. It was a real pain but manageable. I wasn't sure how 47 in the cartoon came apart so I left it. Thx for the reply
