1988 Gmc crew cab build
This is the start of my build , starting out with a 88 gmc R3500 , 454 tbi and a turbo 400 trans.
So far got all the cow boy stuff off of it, and working on the interor. This truck had some custom work from weatherbys custom trucks and vans when ot was new , so Blue crush velvet seats , bucket seats in the front with the wood concel with the cb , over head concel with the raydar detecker and the cowboy hat holder, and the kicker the back seat folds down to a bed, Lovely blue shag carpet, So to start took off the headack rack , running boards , and bed rails, and gutted the interor. Now working on putting 2004 chevy avalanche all power and leather, so after putting the front seats in I find to get the seats at the right hight we have to mod the floor of the truck anf the back seat build a new bass and cut the old on off. So here are some pic's to show you what are stated with. The plan is to put air ride on it with the 22" semi wheels , and a cummins swap |

I'm in. Plenty of information and help in the "Diesel Conversion" section.
Nice starting platform.

Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Please detail the center console install. I am looking at adding the same console to my truck. I want to see how it lines up with the lower part of the dash.

Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Unless they were specifically added by the builder they are the same as the Suburbans.

Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Looks like you got a deal, the diamond ones appear to come with lugnuts for the semi 10 lugs AND the stock chevy 8 lugs. TWaT adapters only come with lugnuts for the 10 lugs.
