Tie Rod Bar

Does anyone know where I can get a Tie Rod. Mine is bent and I can not find a replacement anywhere. Any help would be great.

Re: Tie Rod Bar

Are you talking about the centerlink?
What year truck/suspension?
2wd or 4wd?

Re: Tie Rod Bar

I would post a WTB add in the parts section for 67-72 trucks. You will get the most visibility there. Just specify exactly what your looking for. I don't know if there are the same for all years.

Re: Tie Rod Bar

are you looking for a stock one or would you settle for one off a later model Chevy. I bent the heck out of mine too and went to the boneyard and picked one off a 85' 10 bolt and it bolted right up. $10 and I was good to go. The only difference was the end has only one replaceable rod end.

Re: Tie Rod Bar

I would assume the 69 ones are the same as 71-72. See this one on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Replacem...9WRLpl&vxp=mtr

However, it says its 52inches and I measured 50 inches. Any advice here.

Re: Tie Rod Bar

I checked my Napa interchange guide and I don't come back with a part number for a 1969 or 1970 Tie Rod. 1971 and 1972 both come back and correspond with the one you posted from ebay.

Re: Tie Rod Bar

As I said if you can live with something that's not stock another place to look is OFF-ROAD DESIGN. They have a very stout piece that is only $85 without the ends. This rod is serious beef no junk and is the route I would go if I had to do it again. These guys know their Chevy trucks too.
