How do you install the Parking Brake mech?

So right when I parked in the garage and pulled the parking brake lever pulled all the way up and the cables under the truck fell -,- how do I put back together the parking brake?

Re: How do you install the Parking Brake mech?

You need to go through the cables and see what may be froze up or worn. Pull the pin out the cable at the top on the handle and you should be able to easily pull the cable back with the arm under the truck in the picture. The arm inside should work. Take a pic of the cable parts under the truck so we can see if anything is worn out. Looks like a 66 setup and I will look to see if I have pictures of the complete system.

Thank you so much for you information! I got the pin out and now I can see that possible it the cable that is stuck in the engaged position.

Good to see you were able to fix it. If the cotter pin fell out it would all come apart.
