Boyd tank install questions.

Searched this forum and mostly found 67-72 tank installs.

Getting ready to pull the bed off the 79 and was doing some mock up and measuring of the Boyd tank I just received. I bought the bed fill version and im going to put a billet fill door in the bed.

After close measuring it looks like the filler neck is going to go up between the rear frame cross member and the bed brace that bolts the bed to the frame.

Looks to me like it wont leave room for the gas cap without having to notch into the bed brace support?

Anyone got any pics. or advice?

Looks to me if the fill cap would of been moved forward towards the cab, it would of been a better design....
