Re: the right fuel

Some C12 would be more than good enough, even some VP110.

Re: the right fuel

Any of those should work? Too high an octane is safe but maybe slower. If you are gonna spray it I would run c12.

Re: the right fuel

C-12 is a standard in anything less than 13:1 and 7500rpm IMO. Just be cautious of the 'advertised' octane of others. I won't say 'ONLY' but as far as I know VP is the only fuel market that advertises MOTOR OCTANE, not some blend hype wannabe advertising octane. All of the other octane numbers mean NOTHING to a race motor,,, well here,, read this VP page,,, and look at this chart my buddy Roger put together for us. Advertised octane is a meaningless number when you see the WIDE range of interpretation some of these clowns use to sell fuel to the ricer crowd that thinks putting 114 in their Honda Civic is going to make it faster!

Not only the best consistance in fuel, but the best consistency in ET for me came from slightly 'OVER-octane-ing' what the motor needed. I mean not crazy,, you don't want 118 motor octane in a 11:1 motor, but you don't want to JUST BARELY meet the needs of the motor. I run C-14 in my little shoebox smallblock at 13.2:1 and shift at 8200 when I'm pushing it. I figured the RPM put me right over the line of what C-12 would support. It runs fine and consistant on C-12, but gives me a warm and fuzzy knowing I'm not on that ragged edge.

So all that to say,, DITTO on the VP C-12
The MOTOR octane, the lead content, and the RPM range I assume to be under 7000,,, C-12 is your fuel.
Do your self a favor and buy a 55 gallon barrel. I don't know how it is up there, but here in Az I can buy C-12 for $16 a gallon at the track in my 5 gallon pail,, or $10.80 a gallon at Western Fuels bulk plant in Phx. (most places only charge a minimal fee for a barrel exchange after you buy the first). When your burning about 3/4 - 1 gallon a pass,,, the savings adds up REAL fast!!
I've ran 76, Sonoco, VP and recently tried some ERC 110,,

Re: the right fuel

I agree with the above on vp c12 or straight 110. I have a similar 468 bbc with dart pro 1 heads final compression is 11.8. I run the 110 in it. If I was going to run the motor on the edge or spray I would definitely run c12 or

You can also look into vp blue maybe be just a little cheaper than c12 and pretty much the same fuel.

Re: the right fuel

Assuming your interested in fuel only, not running Corn juice or fuel+meth?
